they are grown in navarra, in the north of spain, and certified with a prestigious do ranking. roasted over a wood fire, which gives them a slightly spicy, wildly delicious flavor, they are always hand packed. a staple of the spanish pantry, it is the perfect pepper for stuffing with cheese or seafood.

grown at happy quail farms in palo alto originally from pimientos de padron seeds from spain. there is nowhere else outside of spain where one can find these peppers. they are harvested as small, young peppers because the larger, more mature peppers tend to be quite hot.
